Delorean-woken-icons by killhellokitty
Delorean-woken-icons
DeLorean-woken-icons are based on Alecive's FlatWoken icons  github.com/alecive/FlatWoken
All credit goes to Alecive.  All I have done is changes the folders color to better compliment the DeLorean theme.

DeLorean-3.16 and DeLorean-Dark-3.16 revision 12 by killhellokitty
DeLorean-3.16 and DeLorean-Dark-3.16 revision 12
DeLorean-3.16 is for Gtk-3.16.  Unfocused Gtk3 windows have a transparency of 88%, not all Gtk3 apps obey ie. Rhythmbox, and Brasero.  I believe this is my finest DeLorean version.  Its tight and clean. This includes DeLorean, DeLorean-Dark, & DeLorean-Root themes.

DeLorean-3.16-Alt Themes are avalable Here.

In Xfce4 set unfocused windows to 88% to match Gtk2 apps with any Gtk3 apps you may use. Compton should work the same way.  Unfortunately I haven't found an acceptable way to make Gtk2 unfocused apps to use transparency in Gnome.

For the most uptodate revision(currently including Ubuntu fixes, and Atl-versions of the themes that are still underconstruction) download from GitHub

Donations are appreciated, Thank You for your support!

INCLUDES
  • Gtk2 and Gtk3 themes for Delorean, Delorean-Dark, and Delorean-Root
  • Gnome-Shell Theme
  • Chromium Themes
  • Cinnamon-Shell 2,4
  • MATE compatability
  • Metacity-2 Themes
  • Firefox Themess
  • xfwm4 Themes
  • Openbox-3 Themes
  • DeLorean-woken icon themes can be found Here
  • More To Come!

REQUIREMENTS
  • Gtk-3.16 (most of it may work in Gtk-3.14-transparency does not work)
  • gnome-themes-standard-3.16
  • pixbuf-engine or the gtk(2)-engines package
  • gtk-engine-murrine

INSTALLATION
  • Download the Delorean package. Unzip the archive, and copy to '/usr/share/themes' for systemwide installation(all users and root), or to '~/.themes' for individual use.
  • Arch Linux & Manjaro
  • install from the AUR.
  • if using yaourt, type in terminal yaourt -S delorean

ROOT THEME INSTALATION
  • Step 1 create symlinks in /root.themes to the global(/usr/share/themes) DeLorean-Root-3.16.  Make /root/.themes folder if it doesn't already exist:
    sudo mkdir /root/.themes
    sudo ln -s -t /root/.themes /usr/share/themes/DeLorean-Root-3.16
  • Step 2 Rename the theme in /root/.themes to exactly the same name as the one from ~/.themes that you're currently using.  For DeLorean-Dark-3.16 the command is:
    sudo mv /root/.themes/DeLorean-Root-3.16 '/root/.themes/DeLorean-Dark-3.16'
  • Shortcut Command step 1 and step 2 in 1 command.
    sudo ln -s /usr/share/themes/DeLorean-Root-3.16 'root/.themes/DeLorean-Dark-3.16'
  • Method 2 Instead of placing the theme in /usr/share/themes, simply place the root theme in /root/.themes, and the deLorean, DeLorean-dark themes in ~/.themes.  Then follow Step 2.
  •
  • Either way the DeLorean and DeLorean-Dark themes must be located or symlinked to ~./themes and applied from there for this to work.
  • How to from: by HEXcube at askubuntu.com/questions/57990/set-a-specific-theme-for-root-launched-applications

Chromium Theme
  • The Chrome theme is located within the theme folders.
  • Simply drag-n-drop the Delorean.crx file onto Chromium to install the theme. (You will find this necessary when using this theme).

Firefox Theme
  • This is a patch to make Firefox blend with each version of DeLorean.
  • Copy the 'chrome' folder located within the theme folders to '~/mozilla/firefox/xSomeNumbers.default.
  • Restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.  This depends on one of the DeLorean themes being in use!
  • To Remove:
  • Simply move the 'chrome' folder to the trash.

I am looking for Bugs and input on the design.  Don't be shy :-)

thanks for your great work on delorean 3.8. do you plan to release the next version? it would be nice, i got used to see your theme in updates and enjoy the changes. i'd like to suggest you could make the theme more consistent - i mean the toolbars are in two styles - e.g. in nautilus and thunar. i prefer nautilus style. i think you should drop the glass elements (toolbar&toolbar buttons, taskbar) (leave them only in tabs). btw. active tab in gedit is dark blue, shouldnt it be black like in other apps? the last thing is color of selection on lists. in previous version of your theme it was lighter, more blue and i think it was better. of course you dont have to agree with my suggestions. im just saying because i want your theme to be the best theme ever. it has the chance, but currently its the second one, after the meditterranean dark theme, because its less consistent. btw. i've just made an account to contact you. i should have done it earlier because im also a designer, but of 3d graphics. ps.2. the most amazing thing in your theme is right-click menu and the selection - i love this!

After switching to crunchbang (debian) from xubuntu, your dorian-theme gtk2 theme did not work properly. Could you please add a single command to install your theme requirements (like apt-get blah, blah, and blah)? It's tough to try finding your requirement package names. Thanks!

dorian-theme is, in my opinion, the best dark linux theme currently available. Could you make an openbox theme for the dorian-retro theme? I don't enjoy using metacity for window borders.

Thank you for your kind words. I just finished the openbox themes for DeLorean-Dark-3.8, so yeah I can give it a try and see what I can come up with for Dorian. Please keep in mind that it is not possible to replicate the look of the dorian-retro theme in openbox. But, again I will see what I can come up with in the next few days.
-Cheers!

I would suggest reusing some elements of your delorean-dark openbox theme to try to make the dorian-retro theme(which will look very little like your metacity theme). Try to make window borders blend in with your gtk theme, like in Delorean-dark. Thanks!

A suggestion from me to try to vaguely replicate the look of the dorian-retro theme would be to reuse some of your delorean-dark openbox theme and use a darker blue color for the window buttons and menu entries. Try keeping consistent with the dorian-retro gradient. Thanks!
